James Macrae, the Managing Director and founder of Intersoft Systems & Programming, will be retiring at the end of the year (2016). After working in the delivery industry for more than 40 years James Macrae, the seasoned entrepreneur and business man will be leaving the world of parcels. Following the acquisition of Intersoft by Royal Mail Group, Macrae is certain the time is right for new leadership to take the company forward into an exciting future.

James Thomas will take over as Managing Director on 1st November. “No one is better suited to manage Intersoft in the years ahead,” stated Macrae. James Thomas has worked at Intersoft for over 15 years, starting as a salesman and working his way up to his current position as General Manager. Thomas has excellent experience in the industry and its technology.

This is a period of change and growth for Intersoft. The acquisition by Royal Mail in March 2016 gives Intersoft the backing and resources of the UK’s universal postal services provider. The planned release of a new version of the innovative Intelligent Shipper delivery management software is the next step in this period of planned growth and expansion. Intelligent Shipper, Intersoft’s cloud-based system provides eCommerce retailers, postal services, and logistics providers a flexible cost-effective delivery management system with multiple carrier integrations both domestically and globally.
